DESCRIPTION

Strengthening the immune system with the production of white blood cells

Every day we’re exposed to thousands of external aggressions. Our immune system is ready to fight against microorganisms such as bacteria and viruses, but it often needs to be strengthened with supplements that are missing in the body. A strong immune system is the best way to protect ourselves against colds and flu. Vitamin C helps the production of white blood cells and antibodies that will protect your immune system.

Vitamin C and Collagen

Collagen is a protein naturally produced by the body that helps maintain the human body. For its production not to be in question, vitamin C cannot be lacking for collagen biosynthesis. The lack of ascorbic acid (vitamin C) calls into question the production of collagen and, consequently, the firmness and union of bone and muscle cells. Vitamin C is essential for the formation of collagen, which is essential for the normal functioning of blood vessels, bones, cartilage, gums, skin and teeth.

More vitamin, more energy

Vitamin C plays an important role in eliminating free radicals and increasing energy levels. By increasing the absorption of iron in food, it contributes to the prevention of low hemoglobin levels. Iron levels in our body are crucial for energy levels. More iron absorption means more energy, less tiredness and less fatigue.

Fight anemia:

Vitamin C intake is not directly related to fighting anemia, but increasing the body’s absorption of iron helps, as most cases of anemia are caused by iron deficiency.

The importance of the vitamin in the normal functioning of the nervous system:

When we talk about vitamin C, we cannot forget its importance for the functioning of the nervous system. With its antioxidant action, it prevents brain damage and aging by eliminating free radicals naturally produced by cellular metabolism and the neuronal energy consumption system. Vitamin C can also be an important ally in the prevention of neurodegenerative diseases, since it is the production of free radicals that causes neuronal degeneration.

Deficiency of Vitamin C

The lack of vitamin C in the body can lead to Scurvy, a fatal disease caused by the lack of ascorbic acid. The first most common symptoms are tiredness, weakness, aching legs and arms. Ignoring the symptoms of vitamin C deficiency can also lead to a decrease in the number of red blood cells, changes in hair, bleeding in the skin and inflammation of the gums. The progress of this disease can have more serious consequences such as the long healing of wounds. Taking vitamin C supplement helps prevent the disease.

Vitamin C in food:

Consuming foods in which vitamin C is present does not mean that you are consuming the necessary amounts for your body. Parsley, oranges, broccoli and clementine may be some of the foods you consume daily rich in vitamin C that still do not provide you with the necessary amounts. Vitamin C is often lost during the cooking of some vegetables. You should preferably consume fruits and vegetables as fresh as possible, because refrigeration itself leads to losses of vitamin, as well as exposure to air and light. Supplements help replenish the vitamin that is not found in food.

Excess Vitamin C:

Vitamin C from Lister Mais uses a safe concentration. Excessive consumption of vitamins can be dangerous for the stomach, kidney function and can even lower calcium. The formula created in Lister Mais laboratories causes rapid absorption and controlled release in the body, in order to always offer the right amount of vitamin C.

Citric acid

Citric acid is a substance found especially in citrus fruits such as lemons and oranges. All non-citrus fruits have this substance, but in smaller quantities. It is used to regulate the acidity of food and as a natural food preservative. It is a source of vitamins (B1 and B2), is a good antioxidant with benefits for the skin and makes the taste of food more pleasant.

Sorbitol

Sorbitol is a polyol derived from sugar obtained through the hydrogenation of glucose. It is one of the main carbohydrates produced through photosynthesis in the adult leaves of some plants. Used as a sweetener it provides a low calorie content when compared to sugar. When metabolized more slowly, sugar slowly increases blood glucose and can therefore be consumed by diabetics. Sorbitol has 2.4 kilocalories per gram, a value that makes it considered a reduced calorie sweetener.

Potassium

Potassium is the third most abundant mineral in the body. Some of the potassium-rich foods are bananas (the best known), avocados, almonds, beets and hazelnuts. The main benefits of potassium are: it helps in cardiovascular health (helps to regulate blood pressure and metabolism as a whole); strengthens bones (combats acids that steal calcium from bones); relieves pain (headaches, cramps); helps in the functioning of the kidneys and control of water in the body (regulates the entry and exit of flow); and assists in the functioning of the nervous system (it is fundamental for the proper functioning of the mind).

Sucralose

Sucralose is the only sweetener obtained through sugarcane that has the taste of sugar without the bitter and calorie-free residual. Its molecule is 600 times sweeter than sugar and is fat soluble. It does not accumulate in fatty tissues, does not cross the placenta, is not present in breast milk, since its elimination occurs in the first hours after consumption and in 13 hours it is excreted by the body intact. Studies affirm that sucralose is non-toxic, does not cause cancer, does not affect the immune system, does not affect the central nervous system, does not alter blood glucose and, therefore, can be consumed by anyone, including diabetics, pregnant women, children and the elderly. In addition, sucralose behaves well at high temperatures, being an alternative for the preparation of desserts.

What for?

Vitamin C as part of the group of water-soluble vitamins (they are not stored in the body) is indispensable for our body and must be consumed daily.

Vitamin C is indicated for those who want to strengthen the immune system and prevent flu and colds.
